You’re invited to take part in the Artery Art Competition! While participants can only win in one of the categories, Best Pre-made Entry, Best Weekend Entry, Best Themed Entry and Best Young Entry, they all feature great prizes! Drawings, paintings, graphics… anything goes!

What can I enter?
Anything to do with anime whether it be fan art, furriers, your own anime characters, Mecha, Sci-fi, anything! Be creative. Dragons, ramen, big swords, big guns, magic, pocky, the list is endless! So if it has anything to do with anime then draw it and send it in. Just be sure to enter it into the appropriate category.

Category descriptions

  • Best Pre-made:
    For all those paintings and drawing you’ve toiled endlessly over or are particularly proud of. Entries for this category must be pre-registered and either brought in or scanned so they can be shown on our projector. Theme related work is recommended but not mandatory.
  • Best Weekend Entry:
    This is for all the scribbles, drawings and doodles made over the weekend either on paper or on the whiteboards.
  • Best Themed Entry:
    For all art based around the convention theme: crime. Ever wonder what your favorite hero would look like if they turned bad, well why not draw it and enter it into this category?
  • Best Young Entry:
    This is a special category for all those new or emerging artists to show off your skills so if you’re under 15, still a beginner or just starting out give it a short! You could even walk away with some great prize.
  • Best Veteran Entry:
    A reflection of the best young entry, this category is for those over 15 and have previously entered into AI-Con art comeptitions.

General Rules
No competitor can win more then one (1) category.
No competitor over the age of 15 can enter the new blood category.
Digital entries MUST be printed and can be pre-registered or entered on the day at the art room.
You can only enter one entry per category.

All on day entries must be in before 3:30 Sunday. Printing will NOT be available for digital entries so contestants will have to sort this out themselves. All entries will be judged Sunday and awards will be presented in the closing ceremony.
