Kind of an event and kind of not, the AI-CON after party is everything you could ever want and then some!

Come and meet the people that have poured their souls into making AI CON the crazy weekend of WIN that we know and love! We welcome all comers but we do hold our party in a pub and we do dance like idiots. Consider yourselves warned!

Venue: the Brisbane Hotel is happy to host the party on Sunday night.
They are at 3 Brisbane Street, Hobart. Phone is 6234 4920
Time: Party will be from the end of the clean-up on Sunday (which only took 15 min last year cause everyone helped and was awesome) until waaaaay past your bed time.

They’ll be serving the regular bar menu on our side until at least 8:30pm and possibly later. The Bris has really yummy (& cheap) bar food so I heartily recommend getting your tucker there.

They’ve also got some other stuff happening as it is a long weekend:-

6-8pm: the circus horrificus will be in the back room (not where we were last time, the noisy place on the other side of the bar!) it’s a cabaret and sit down dinner show which looks great if anyone wants to book for that.

They are also having a dub and bass night in the back room later, so there will be doof for those of us who like to dance like crazy things.

There is some music out with us but not much, just the odd DJ. We’ve begged for Tilley (our favourite anime theme DJ) but worst case we will just have to book him for the after after party!

Long story short the Bris will be filled with regular pub madness and random cabaret songs until approximately 10pm, when it will get its party on. Those who prefer a quieter evening may wish to organise a rendezvous at this point ;D Anyone who likes to boogie is welcome to come get their groove on with the Syn. And Casey says she hopes to see heaps of people in costume this year so get those thoughts to frocks people!

Stay tuned for an update on the underage policy, I am still to confirm whether under 18’s can attend the after party with a responsible adult.
