Anime Island Convention Attendees Code of Conduct
Please observe the following rules during the convention to ensure an enjoyable experience.
• Your registration badge must be worn and visible at all times while on the convention site. Badges may be taken off for photographs in costume but must be worn immediately after.
• Patrons under age 15 must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
• Only some areas of the University have been hired, please keep out of other areas.
• Please look after, and keep clean the venue.
• Sitting in the aisle of a full theatre presents a fire hazard, if all the seats in a theatre are taken, please wait outside until there is a seat available.
• Please make sure that if you are wearing makeup, it does not rub off on seats or other people’s clothes.
• No smoking inside any buildings or within 10 metres of an open door or air intake.
• No alcohol or illegal drugs.
• No live steel allowed at the convention, unless officially approved as part of an event.
• While in any of the theatres, or attending an event, please turn off your mobile phone.
• Harassment of any form will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal, physical, sexual, racial or political harassment. Offenders will be ejected from the convention at the committee’s discretion.
• No heckling during any screening or event is allowed.
• AICon organisers reserve the right to eject people from the event, should they feel that the above rules have been violated. AICon committee reserves the right to ban an individual from future AICon conventions in extreme cases.
• By attending an AICon event, you agree to the possibility of being filmed or photographed and that resulting footage or photos to be used in future promotional activities related to AICon.
